Motivational Speaking

My presentations offer a rare glimpse into the complex life of a person living with: ADHD, LD, anxiety, and mental health challenges. My ability to deeply connect with my audience comes from my own personal struggles and successes throughout my life.

My presentations draw on my life experiences from when I first learned about my disabilities, to my experience in the school system, to my transition to post-secondary, and life in the work force. Hearing real, often humorous (at my own expense) stories from someone with lived-experience gives insight into a life with multiple disabilities and will inspire you to see the advantages within our diagnoses.

 You will leave with:

Strategies:

  • A multitude of strategies to implement

  • How strategies can be implemented in the “real–world”

  • Learning how to create your own unique strategies

Accommodations:

  • An understanding of accommodations

  • Your right to accommodations

  • How to advocate for your accommodations

Feeling validated and understood:

  • A better sense of who you are

  • A feeling that you’ve finally been understood

  • Knowing that you are not alone

  • A better understanding of your own unique challenges and successes.

  • A sense of community after seeing others struggling and succeeding with similar challenges

My presentations can be adapted to suit a variety of different audiences, such as: universities, colleges, high schools, elementary schools, service clubs, parent groups and youth programs.

”Aaron’s candid reflections upon his life as a student with disabilities are sometimes heartbreaking but always inspirational. Whatever the response they evoke in his audience, the end result is one of great admiration for Aaron's dedication to his educational path in spite of ongoing challenges. His use of humour, even humour directed at himself, engages his listeners to the point that they collectively wait for his next anecdote. His presentations are a healthy mix of serious information, personal narrative, strategies for success, and motivation.”
